What is CBD Oil?
What is CBD Oil? CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a chemical compound from the Cannabid sativa plant, which is also known as marijuana.
Cannabis plants are made up of more than 100 different cannabinoids, chemical compounds that act on cannabinoid receptors in cells that alter neurotransmitter release in the human brain. These have different impacts on the body and are concentrated to different extents in certain parts of the plant. The most well known of the compounds are tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD).
Is it an artificial product or a natural one?
It is a naturally occurring substance which is used in products like oils and edibles to impart a feeling of relaxation and calm. Unlike its cousin, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the major active ingredient in marijuana, CBD is not psychoactive.
Will it make me high?
CBD Oil will therefore not get you “high”. The cannabis plant is made up of two main players: CBD and THC. CBD is the non-psychoactive portion of the plant, so what that means is you won’t have any effects like euphoria.
